Bruce Morgan Farewell - 1940 to 2010

We all love to get out there and enjoy the open expanses and camaraderie that sailing provides. Going for a yacht takes away a weeks worth of stress, gives you a workout and an excuse to sit around and talk with friends later on at the bar.
Bruce Morgan was certainly one sailor who just plain loved it and even got a bit of glassware at a few Sandringham Yacht Club races. He was once asked if he would rather go sailing or play golf. He answered, “At least I know how to sail!”
His Beneteau First 34.7, 'Can Can', was his pride and joy and he was never happier than when he was out on the Bay, sharing the day with others. His crew will always remember him as a generous, good-natured skipper, with a competitive edge and we will all miss him.

Mornington Safe Harbour
You may or may not be aware that the Mornington Yacht Club have been pushing to get a safe harbour and marina for some time now. The proposal is now in the final stages for seeking approval, and is now currently on public exhibition.
The Yacht Club is asking for as much support as possible and would like people interested to fill out the submission of support form. If you could forward the information, to family, friends, other club members, etc, that would be great.
This harbour is not only needed for Mornington members, it is for the whole community and other visiting clubs, cruising boats, etc , to use and enjoy. For more information please visit the website: www.morningtonsafeharbour.com.au
